The Selangor State Government remains committed to the welfare of its people through various initiatives, including death benefit assistance.
Previously, this assistance was provided under separate programmes such as Skim Mesra, Iltizam Selangor Sihat (ISS), and Insurans Am Selangor (INSAN). To enhance efficiency and streamline benefits, the government has now introduced a unified initiative – Khairat Darul Ehsan (KDE).
KDE offers a RM1,000 death benefit to eligible Selangor residents aged 50 and above, as well as to Persons with Disabilities (OKU).
Registration Process
i) For existing participants of Skim Mesra, ISS, or INSAN:
Confirm your information and provide consent at kde.yawas.com.my starting 5 May 2025. You will be automatically enrolled in Khairat Darul Ehsan.
ii) For new applicants: Register at kde.yawas.com.my starting 1 June 2025. Your application will be reviewed by YAWAS, and the status can be checked on the same website.
To receive the RM1,000 death benefit, timely registration is essential. For assistance, you may reach out to a family member, the nearest State Assembly Service Centre (Pusat Khidmat DUN), or the YAWAS hotline.
