SHAH ALAM: Kota Anggerik assemblyman Najwan Halimi has announced the concerns of his affordable Covid-19 testing initiative, in cooperation with SELGATE Healthcare, a wholly-owned subsidiary of SELGATE Corporation under state-owned Selangor State Development Corporation (PKNS), and all Kota Anggerik voters are welcome.

The testing centre employ the antigen rapid test kits (RTK-Ag) and located at the Selcare Clinic Seksyen 13 Shah Alam, with each test costing RM 50. The first trial run that began on Wednesday, 20th January 2021 was conducted more than 100 tests.

Results come out the same day. Those who have email addresses can go home and have their results sent to them. Those who want a hard copy can return in a 30minutes-1 hour to collect the results.

No appointments are taken, with tests conducted on a first-come-first-served basis.

Research from the Federation of Malaysian Consumers Associations found that the RTK-Ag tests cost RM50-80 on the low end, but can be priced as high as RM350 at some clinics.

They also noted that these tests should not be used to conclusively diagnose Covid-19 as antibodies can still be detected weeks after infection.

Testing at the Selcare Clinic Seksyen 13 Shah Alam will be conducted from 9 am to 3:30 pm, will be open every day, and public holidays- https://selgatehealthcare.com/
